Double-Solo: Victor Gelling & Ahmetcan Gökçeer

Victor Gelling ist Improvisator*in und Komponist*in, welche Saiteninstrumente wie Kontrabass, Tenorbanjo, Viola da Gamba und Gitarre sowie Pedale, Synthesizer und kaum funktionierende, selbst programmierte Computerprogramme verwenden, um Klänge zu erzeugen. Viktors Arbeit umfasst Genres von Jazz über Noise bis hin zu elektrischen Cowboy-Songs und Performance-Kunst, die in im großen Ensemble Trash & Post-Chaotic Music, der Indie-Rock-Band Slowklahoma, in Solowerken oder der Arbeit mit dem Jorik Bergman Trio gipfelt.

Gegründet von dem Multiinstrumentalisten und Komponisten Ahmetcan Gökçeer im Jahr 2020, vermischt wipeç spielerisch traditionelle Genregrenzen und produziert Klänge, die vom Konzertsaal bis zur Tanzfläche reichen. Als Ein-Mann-Betrieb konzentriert sich wipeç auf das Zusammenspiel von Struktur und Zufall.

Victor Gelling is an improviser and composer who uses stringed instruments including but not limited to upright bass, tenor banjo, viola da gamba and guitar in addition to pedals, synthesizers and barely working self-coded computer programs to create sounds. Their work spans genres from jazz to noise to electric cowboy songs to performance art, which culminates in their large ensemble „Trash & Post-Chaotic Music“, their indie-rock band „Slowklahoma“, solo works or their work with the Jorik Bergman Trio.

Formed by multi-instrumentalist and composer Ahmetcan Gökçeer in 2020, wipeç blends traditional genre boundaries playfully, outputting sounds that range from the concert hall to the dance floor. As a one-person operation, wipeç focuses on the interplay between structure and randomness.
