Die in London lebende Sängerin Aitzi Cofre Real präsentiert ihr neues Projekt zusammen mit dem Londoner Pianisten Scottie Thompson und dem Kölner Bassisten Nico Klöffer.

Aitzi und Scottie spielen schon seit mehreren Jahren im Duo zusammen. Beide verbindet eine Liebe zum Great American Songbook – sie lassen sich dabei von den Einflüssen großer Vorbilder wie John Taylor und Norma Winstone inspirieren. Gemeinsam erforschen sie Jazz Standards und erschaffen dabei spontan und kommunikativ ihre eigenen Interpretationen.
Nico und Aitzi haben sich 2022 im Rahmen des Exzellenzprogramms Gutenberg Jazz Collective in Mainz kennengelernt, wo die beiden u.a. mit Becca Stevens, Kris Davis und Billy Hart arbeiteten. Seitdem kreuzen sich ihre musikalischen Wege immer wieder in verschiedenen Ensembles, was ihre Zusammenarbeit stetig vertieft und bereichert.
Nun also im Trio starten die Musiker diesen Sommer und Herbst mit ersten Konzerten.
Das Trio widmet sich intimen Arrangements eigener Kompositionen, sowie neu interpretierten Jazz Standards. Ihr subtiles, oft lyrisches, aber auch ungehemmtes Zusammenspiel erschafft eine besondere musikalische Atmosphäre. Im Dialog Geschichten erzählen, frisch und zeitlos.

Die Konzerte im LOFT beginnen in der Regel gegen 20 Uhr - das LOFT öffnet jeweils um 19.30 Uhr.
Ausnahmen - zB an Sonntagen - sind möglich.

The London-based singer Aitzi Cofre Real presents her new project together with the London pianist Scottie Thompson and the Cologne bassist Nico Klöffer.

Aitzi and Scottie have been playing together as a duo for several years. Both share a love of the Great American Songbook – they are inspired by the influences of great role models such as John Taylor and Norma Winstone. Together they explore jazz standards and create their own spontaneous and communicative interpretations.
Nico and Aitzi met in 2022 as part of the excellence program Gutenberg Jazz Collective in Mainz, where the two worked with Becca Stevens, Kris Davis and Billy Hart, among others. Since then, their musical paths have crossed again and again in various ensembles, constantly deepening and enriching their collaboration.
Now as a trio, the musicians will start this summer and fall with their first concerts.
The trio is dedicated to intimate arrangements of their own compositions as well as newly interpreted jazz standards. Their subtle, often lyrical, but also uninhibited interplay creates a special musical atmosphere. Telling stories in dialog, fresh and timeless



The concerts at the LOFT will generally start at around 8 pm CEST - the LOFT will open at 7.30 pm CEST.
Exceptions - eg on Sundays - are possible.
